I just got elected by the house owners association to oversee the security inside our small gated community. We have had a spate of burglaries and there are just 3 security guards in the main gate working in shifts. So I suggested that we consider security camera systems for business and house owners.
This would be a lot less costly and safer as compared to employing additional security guards or asking the residents to volunteer in patrolling the area. Finally we purchased a 16 channel wireless DVR system to carry out surveillance.
The complete monitoring camera system contained a separate 16-channel DVR 12 day/night color wired cams 4 day/night color wireless cameras 100-foot video cables four 2.4-GHz video receivers and a 19-inch widescreen LCD screen.
Its DVR has no operating system. Everything is embedded in the hardware and hence the name embedded DVR. All that we needed to do was connect the cams in hook the digital video recorder to an electrical outlet and voila. The images are crisp as well as clear even at night.
We can have the DVR upload the images to the internet in order that the home owners can check what is happening close to their homes even if they arent around. They are able to see the images on their tablets or even iPhones.
The spy cameras were mounted on a number of the streetlights in the perimeter of our community to be able to cover all possible entrance and exit areas.
